Steven F Ellis MD FACS

Dr. Ellis is a Kansas native born in Topeka. He grew up in the Shawnee Mission area graduating from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. He graduated magna cum laude from Baker University in 1987 elected to the honorary scholastic society Alpha Delta Sigma. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas in 1991. Dr. Ellis trained in general surgery for two years and completed a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL Dr. Ellis trained at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL becoming Head of ENT Services at Cook County Correctional Facility from 1995-96. He trained at Cook County Hospital from 1993 to 1996 where he obtained a wealth of surgical experience and traumatic facial reconstruction. Dr. Ellis also has research experience in vocal cord pathology and chronic laryngitis.

Dr. Ellis is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and licensed by the Kansas and Missouri State Board of Healing Arts. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is an associate fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.


Dr. Ellis joined Dr. Thompson and Dr. Walton in 1996. Dr. Ellis and his wife Jennifer have three daughters and one son.
